There is something so magical about bringing a musical thought into the world in a tangible way. Let’s do it together!

An Oakland, California native, I grew up listening to all sorts of music. After picking up the guitar in 4th grade, I spent my teens in bands, writing songs, and performing at local venues in the Bay Area. Most notably opening for Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters and Nirvana at the Fox Theater for a Children’s Hospital benefit concert. During this time I developed a serious passion recording local groups in my garage studio. In order to further my pursuit of recording and performance I moved to Baltimore, Maryland to attend the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University.

I was fortunate enough to continue my audio engineering education under the mentorship of Scott Metcalfe and Ed Tetreault, two of the most thoughtful and talented recording engineers I’ve ever met. In Baltimore, I spent time outside of school recording sessions and running live sound at Keystone Korner, where both emerging and grammy winning jazz artists regularly perform. In addition to Keystone, I worked as a location recording engineer, live sound engineer, and studio engineer.

Since graduating from Peabody with degrees in Recording Arts & Sciences and Vocal Performance, I have moved down to Durham, North Carolina and am continuing my journey as a freelance audio engineer. Currently I am working out of NightSound Studios and Manifold Recording, and can be booked for location recording as well.

As a dedicated musician and songwriter, I go above and beyond in recording. With experience on both sides of the booth and a calm, methodical attitude, I connect naturally with artists to bring out their best. It’s my passion to help bring musicians’ ideas into the world. Let me worry about the knobs and buttons so you can keep making beautiful music.

Outside of music and engineering, you can probably find me at the farmer’s market selling Isaac’s Bagels, biking around the city, or playing pickup basketball.
